Bachan & Grandy have arrived!

We stopped just long enough for Drey, Enzo, and myself to get sick. These past four days have been spent fighting fevers, coughs, and runny noses. Luckily Drey and I are feeling better today (Enzo not so much) for the happy welcome of Bachan and Grandy. It was a sweet reunion and we are excited to spend the next two weeks together.

It is Tet (Chinese New Year) here in Vietnam so literally the city shuts down and everyone returns to their home town to celebrate with family. With Troy's office closed, we decided to take advantage of this time and explore a few other countries / cities. Tomorrow we fly to Singapore, Sunday we head to Cambodia, and Wednesday we travel to HaNoi. It's going to get a little crazy...

One happy Bachan with her grandsons.

Merry Christmas Drey! Candy canes are good all year round right?

Seriously Drey....Merry Christmas AGAIN! I think Drey (and me) could get used to this visitors bearing gifts and treats thing :)

Bachan brought over some Valentine Day decorations for our big window.

Sticking to the traditional ham sandwich and chips lunch.

Curious George, his favorite (Drey's also)

Since the city closes down for Tet we were not able to get custom clothes made for Herb. Instead we decided to visit Troy's office and reassure them that we really are working over here.

working real hard....

And of course to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant Cuc Gach Quan for dinner. They now recognize us when we come in and know that Drey loves the fish pond. He actually has a large spoon in the water feeding the fish :)

Our favorite dishes. Very fresh and delicious.

Driving around,  the city is decorated for Tet with the traditional yellow flowers and lights.  It's actually quite beautiful.
